Our story began in 2012, when Tom Parolisi started Parolisi Electric with a commitment to quality workmanship, honest service, and doing things the right way.

Over the years, the business grew—but so did the vision for what it could become.

In 2021, Parolisi Electric was rebranded as Arete Electric & HVAC Services with a purpose: to build something bigger than Tom Parolisi.

Arete was created to become more than a company built around one person. The goal was to build a team, a culture, and an organization with a lasting impact—a place where people can develop their skills, build meaningful careers, support their families, and take pride in being part of something bigger than themselves.

That purpose extends beyond our own team. We believe a successful business has a responsibility to serve its customers well, strengthen its community, and use its success to help others.

The name Arete reflects that mission. It represents the pursuit of excellence—not only in the electrical and HVAC work we perform, but in how we treat people, how we develop our team, and the kind of company we strive to become.

Tom Parolisi

Owner

Tom Parolisi started the business in 2012 as Parolisi Electric, built on a simple standard: do the job right, the first time. In 2021, he rebranded the company as Arete Electric & HVAC Services to build something bigger than one name, a team and culture built to last. He leads a team of certified technicians and stays hands-on with the company’s residential and commercial electrical and HVAC work across Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts.

Dan Foley

Dan Foley is a licensed electrician with Arete Electric & HVAC Services, working alongside Tom on residential and commercial projects throughout the service area.

My very old heater broke in the coldest winter we’ve had in years. Another electrician I called recommended Arete Electric . Tom quickly got to work diagnosing and ordering a replacement heater and quoted me a price way below what I ever expected, and I’ve had to replace one in a previous house. This also included replacing a light switch and a doorbell. Since the heater would be ready to pick up the next day, I would be without heat. Tom drove out to buy and install a couple of high quality space heaters to get me through the night. The next day, work was done efficiently and quickly and I have not had a problem since! I was so fortunate to find them, this is my electric/HVAC company for life!!

Having purchased an electric vehicle, I needed to have installed an EV charging station, outside my house and next to the driveway.
