Arete Electric & HVAC Services starts and ends with family. Owner Tom Parolisi wanted to build something amazing for his family – and that is exactly what he is doing. For years, Tom has proudly supported residential and commercial property owners in Massachusetts and New Hampshire with all their electrical and HVAC needs.
Tom isn’t doing it alone though. Arete Electric & HVAC Services is a team of professional and certified technicians who show up with a positive attitude and strong work ethic and take pride in their work. A “family” who believes in getting the job done right for you and yours.

I typically don't write reviews, but I felt compelled after working with the owner (Tommy) and his team to install a mini split in my 3rd floor home office through a rather complex arrangement due to the house's design. After I committed to Arete and got them onsite, I had to ask what "Arete" means, and in summary, it means "excellence" from ancient Greek mythology. Well, after my experience with Arete, I can attest that Tommy and his team embody the name of the business. Their communication, timeliness, installation quality, speed, care for my home, CLEANLINESS, and consideration for my wife and I working from home were nothing short of excellent. I may have talked his ear off a bit, but just in speaking with Tommy, you can really tell his level of commitment to his customer, his employees, and the growth and development of his company through excellent quality and positive engagement. I wouldn't hesitate to call Arete back for any job, large or small in scope.
We hired Arete Electric to install a comfort Air Split system. Don and Tom were absolutely awesome to work with. They were clean on time, worked very efficiently and hooked up the system in one day. They spent the time reviewing the system with us and put the AP on our phones for remote running when we are not home. We cannot thank these two men and their crew enough for the way this job was handled. And in all my years I have hired many contractors for different jobs, and they are number one on the list.
These guys have been working hard here on a very messy /difficult wiring job in my upstairs. 32 surface can lights, track lights, and closet lights. The majority of the wiring had to be done primarily in the attic which was buried under several feet of insulation Often in cramped conditions, and I did not have complete plywood coverage of the floors.
Arete electrical was absolutely amazing to work with! We purchased a home that needed more work than anticipated and Arete, specifically Tom & Donny, were right on top of it. They came out looking at the situation, gave us multiple options and then a written professional quote by the next morning. They informed us of some things not being up to code and repaired them. We were on a time restraint, and they were able to accommodate us fast and efficiently. We would highly recommend them and plan to use them again for future services. They work fast and they work clean, and the quality of work is top notch. If you know anyone in the southern NH, northern MA area that have electrical needs, I recommend them highly.
We needed new/updated recessed lighting installed in our kitchen and the dining room in which Arete Electric was our first call! If looking for exceptional customer service, high quality work, and great knowledge- look no further. Went way above and beyond- on a weekend none the less. Highly recommended!!
